Over 5 years, number of card transactions has increased 12-fold

June 22, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, Azerbaijani citizens have 13.6 million payment cards, including 86.6% of debit cards and 13.4% of credit cards.

ABC.AZ reports that Tair Mirkishili, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, stated about this at today’s meeting of the Committee.

He added that 460 million card transactions for AZN 24.4 bn were carried out last year (8-fold and 12-fold more, respectively, than 5 years ago).
