June 16, Fineko/abc.az. In May 2023, home sales to foreigners decreased by 46.9% against May 2022 to 3,167.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the data published by the Statistical Committee of Türkiye (TUK) on the sale of housing to foreigners in May 2023.

According to the report, the share of apartment sales to foreigners in the total volume of apartment sales for the reporting period was 2.8%. Antalya accounted for the most housing sales to foreigners (1,245 apartments). 934 apartments were sold to foreigners in Istanbul, 249 in Mersin.

Most of the housing were sold to citizens of Russia.

In May, Russian citizens bought 991 apartments in Türkiye. Iranians (503 apartments) are in 2nd place in buying housing in Türkiye after Russians, Ukrainians (175) are in 3rd place and German citizens (129 apartments) are in 4th place.
