May 25, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, the attraction of lotteries and sports betting into non-cash circulation is on agenda.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan that the matter was discussed at yesterday’s regular meeting of the Expert Group on Payment Systems & Digital Banking.

The meeting was dedicated to improving the security of digital payments, expanding the coverage of the ecosystem and implementing an effective tariff policy. The meeting discussed areas of cooperation with fintech, further joint fight against illegal lotteries, involvement of lotteries and sports betting in non-cash circulation, processing of new payment transactions through the instant payment system.

There was also exchange of views on the steps to be taken to improve the current Collective Agreement on the activities of the interbank card center, and the use of effective interbank payments on group types of activities.
