Credit portfolio of banking sector has grown - Report

May 24, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 30, 2023, the banks' loan portfolio amounted to AZN 20.379 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that the loan portfolio of banks increased by 4% compared with the indicator at the end of 2022. In April, the loan portfolio of banks increased by AZN 341 million.

Over Jan-Apr 2023, banks increased the portfolio of business loans by 2.3% to AZN 11.108 bn or 54.5% of the total loan portfolio. In April, the portfolio of banks on business loans increased by AZN 136.6 million.

The portfolio of consumer loans of banks for Jan-Apr grew by 5.5% to AZN 6.7 bn, the share - 29.8%. In April, the portfolio of banks on consumer loans increased by AZN 129.9 million.

The banks in Azerbaijan increased their mortgage loan portfolio by 7.2% to AZN 3.199 bn or 15.7% of the total loan portfolio of banks. In April, the banks' mortgage lending portfolio grew by AZN 74.5 million.
