May 23, Fineko/abc.az. The banking sector of Azerbaijan received AZN 345.2 million of net profit for Jan-Apr 2023 (39.1% more versus Jan-Apr 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Over the past 4 months banks' operating income increased by 28.8% up to AZN 1.47 million, operating expenses by 26.6% up to AN 936.5 million, transfers to special reserves by 4.2% up to AZN 101.7 million, windfall income totaled AZN 300,000, and income tax payments grew by 55.7% up to AZN 88.9 million.
