May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Interest expenses of two out of 25 banks operating in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of this year were low compared with Q1 of 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that among them are Bank VTB Azərbaycan and the Baku branch of the National Bank of Iran.

The largest decrease was recorded on the Bank of Iran (100%) and the smallest on Bank VTB Azərbaycan (1.8%).

And the remaining 23 banks increased interest expenses. The highest dynamics was recorded on Azər-Türk Bank (2.2-fold) and the lowest on Premium Bank (2.3%).
