May 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 5 years, there has been a sharp increase in digital banking and payments in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA executive director Farid Osmanov said this during Baku conference GSMA M360 Eurasia 2023.

He added that we can see an increase in payments over the past 5 years – in 2022, digital payments increased by 51%. This is 80% more than in 2018.

Over the past period, payments through POS terminals have increased 5-fold and reached 6 billion manats in 2022. In addition, over the past period, Internet banking has grown 8-fold, and mobile banking 40-fold.
