May 12, Fineko/abc.az. The planned shutdown of the SOCAR refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) next year will be the first after its commissioning.
ABC.AZ reports that by Anar Mammadov, the head of the Processing & Petrochemistry Department of SOCAR Türkiye and CEO of Petkim Petrokimya Holding, stated about this at today’s press conference.
According to Mammadov, scheduled work at the refinery will be carried out not every four years, but every five years.
He noted that the suspension of enterprise’s work for scheduled maintenance for about two months (45-60 days) means losses for the company, and for this reason, the extension of the period for scheduled repairs will save about $40 million.
