Goldman Sachs Bank agrees to pay out on discrimination claim

May 10, Fineko/abc.az. One of the largest investment banks in the world, Goldman Sachs, has agreed to pay $215 million to settle a class action.

ABC.AZ reports that the lawsuit alleged widespread bias against women in remuneration and promotion in the company.

The payment will be received by 2,887 current and former employees who worked in the investment banking sector, investment management and securities of Goldman Sachs.

The bank denies wrongdoing, but has agreed to a settlement that will avoid a trial that was due to begin in June 2023.
