May 5, Fineko/abc.az. The financial sector is developing rapidly in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA), said this during an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

He noted the important role of the banking sector for both the population and business.

"Today, every citizen of our country can use the financial instruments of banks and non-banking organizations of the country. We do not see the need to apply to foreign banks both for funds and for opening deposits. Our banks are among the most stable in the region today," Nuriyev said.
