May 4, Fineko/abc.az. "Next year we’ll complete the construction of the railway from Fuzuli to Zangilan and almost to the border with Armenia, which was dismantled by the Armenians during the occupation, and then sold off."

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the 4th international conference "Formation of the Geopolitics of Greater Eurasia: from the Past to the Present & the Future".

The head of state said that if the railway, which stretched from Fuzuli to Zangilan, almost to the Armenian border and 40 km deep into the Armenian territory, is rebuilt, it will be an international project.

"But if Armenia presents the project with artificial obstacles, they will only lose. As today we have no problems with transportation of goods through Georgia, Türkiye, the seaports of Georgia and the Black Sea, through Russia or Iran. Armenia does not have such physical ties," the president said.
