Reason for Rules of operations with virtual assets named

May 3, Fineko/abc.az. "The Rules for conducting transactions with virtual assets", approved by the Central Bank last month, is aimed at preventing money laundering.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA director general Togrul Aliyev said about this at a press conference on changes in the parameters of the discount rate.

"This decision has nothing to do with the regulation of the cryptocurrency market," he noted.

"To date, there are no players in Azerbaijan, carrying out operations with virtual assets," the CBA rep added.
