April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Gas production in Russia, which fell under sanctions because of the war with Ukraine, decreased in the 1st quarter of 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that according to data published by the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (Rosstat), annual gas production for the specified period decreased by 14.1% to 149 bn cu m.

Natural gas production in March decreased by 15.3% against March 2022 to 49.8 bn cu m.

And the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the 1st quarter increased to 8 million tons (7.2% less than in the 2022 same period).

In March, LNG production fell by 2.8% to 2.9 million tons versus the 2022 same period.
