MP: Significant part of loans received under state guarantees are used randomly

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. Part of the loans received in Azerbaijan under governmental guarantee are used well, and a significant part is used inefficiently.

ABC.AZ reports that MP Ali Masimli stated about this at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

"While in a range of countries the direct debt of the state is small, loans taken under governmental guarantees are 10-fold higher than the direct debt, even exceeding their foreign exchange reserves. Therefore, I think that one of the issues that should be given the closest attention should be the strengthening of the mechanism of control over loans received under governmental guarantees," he emphasized.
