April 12, Fineko/abc.az. A project has been prepared in Azerbaijan in connection with the digitalization of money transfers.

ABC.AZ reports that this project contains proposals for digitalizing money transfers and other relevant financial products and improving their accessibility, as well as the concept of a system for applying digital money transfers.

In this regard, with the joint organizational support of the Azerbaijani representative office of the International Organization for Migration and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, financial support from the Development Fund of the International Organization for Migration, a regular meeting of the working group of project "Strengthening the socio-economic impact of remittances in Azerbaijan" was held.

Vladimir Georgiev, the head of the Azerbaijani Representative Office of the International Organization for Migration, and Vahid Gahramanov, the head of the Main Department of Migration Policy & Legal Support of the State Migration Service, delivered speech at the opening ceremony of the meeting.

He noted that the main goal of the project "Strengthening the socio-economic impact of remittances in Azerbaijan" is to promote the sustainable development of the standard of living of Azerbaijani migrants and migrants living in Azerbaijan, as well as those who receive funds in Azerbaijan and abroad during remittances, by increasing financial inclusion and access to digital financial services.
