April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, two clean energy generation power plants are being built in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov stated about this to journalists on Monday on the sidelines of the Azerbaijani-American energy forum.
"In Nakhchivan, in some years, more clean energy is used in electricity generation than traditional energy, and this figure can sometimes exceed 50 percent of the total energy production. Another feature of the NAR is that there is direct access to the Turkish market," he said.
Soltanov expressed confidence that Nakhchivan is a platform for implementation of large energy projects.
