March 14, Fineko/abc.az. A decrease was also observed in the processing sector of Azerbaijan for Jan-Feb 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that in the structure of the processing industry, growth was recorded in the production of leather, leather goods and footwear (+3.7-fold), woodworking and wood products (+2.3-fold), cars, trailers, semi-trailers (+2.1-fold), printing products (+67.1%), pharmacological products (+59.4%), paper and cardboard (+46.4%), construction materials (+35.1%), tobacco products (+34.7%), electrical equipment (+25.8%), textile industry (+25.6%), rubber and plastic products (+23.9%), beverages (+17.9%), clothing (+17.3%), food (+12.7%), machinery and equipment (+10.4%), computers, electronic and optical products (+4.9%).

The decline took place in the production of furniture (-1.3%), finished metal products (-4.2%), petroleum products (-6.4%), chemical products (-17.2%), other vehicles (-23%), metallurgical products (-35.4%), installation and repair of machinery and equipment (-54.4%).

In the field of production and distribution of electricity, gas and steam, production growth for Jan-Feb 2023 made up 8.3%, in the field of water supply, waste treatment and recycling - 15.9%.
