March 1, Fineko/abc.az. By the decree of President Ilham Aliyev, the powers of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture have been expanded.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of state signed a new decree amending his decree of March 18, 2021 "On some issues related to management in the field of urban development in the territories liberated from occupation".

In accord with the new decree, the Committee is also entrusted with the process of leasing land in the territories liberated from occupation for the purpose of geological exploration of the subsoil and the development of mineral deposits, as well as the construction and operation of underground structures not related to mining.

According to the previous decree, a number of powers in the occupation-liberated territories were temporarily assigned to the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture.
