February 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Jabrail substation with capacity of 330 KV will provide Karabakh and the Eastern Zangezur region with stable, stable electricity supply, and will meet the needs of the megaprojects being created, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Mirjalal Huseynov, the director of the Karabakh Regional Electric Grid.

According to Huseynov, this electric node will have additional and more favorable access to European energy markets through the Jabrayil-Nakhchivan-Agra substations (Turkey), and then through the Turkish energy system: "Also, this node will increase export opportunities. After many years, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will be connected to the unified energy system of Azerbaijan."

He stressed that in the future 1,000 MW of electricity will be exported annually to Turkiye and from there to Europe.
