February 20, Fineko/abc.az. 119,100 foreigners and stateless persons from 131 countries of the world arrived in Azerbaijan in January 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with January 2022, the number of arrivals from Pakistan increased 9.9-fold, India - 8.6-fold, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – 5-fold, Belarus - 3.6-fold, China - 3.1-fold, Kazakhstan – 3-fold, Kuwait - 2.9-fold, Oman - 2.2-fold, Israel - 2.1-fold, the UAE - 1.9-fold, Georgia and the USA - 1.6-fold, the Russian Federation - 1.5-fold, the UK - 47.6%, Turkiye - 40.7%, Ukraine - 19.8%, Iran - 15.6%.

Compared with January 2022, the number of arrivals from the CIS countries grew 1.6-fold up to 49,000 people, from the member states of the European Union 1.6-fold up to 4,300 people, from the Persian Gulf countries by 29.3% up to 21,300 people.
