KPMG to cut nearly 700 jobs in the U.S.

February 16, Fineko/abc.az. KPMG, one of the largest international audit companies, intends to lay off about 700 employees in the U.S. amid a sharp decline in demand for consulting services because of economic problems in the country.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to The Financial Times on Thursday that KPMG was the first of the "big four" international audit firms, which also includes Ernst & Young, Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers, decided to make cuts in the U.S.

According to the latest KPMG report, the number of its staff in the U.S. at the end of 2021 exceeded 35,000 people.
