February 14, Fineko/abc.az. In the course of inspections in 2022 the State Financial Supervision Service (under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance) revealed the misuse of budget finances for totally AZN 225.7 million.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the MoF that during the inspections and in the period after the inspections, part of this amount for AZN 35.14 million was recovered by the perpetrators to the State Budget.
In 2022, control measures were carried out in 185 organizations.
Also, in the course of inspections in 71 organizations, the misuse of budgetary finances for AZN 5.8 million was revealed, and AZN 1.747 million was recovered to the State Budget. At that, materials on two organizations where the misuse of funds for AZN 2.8 million was found out were sent to the State Security Service.
At that, inspections in 110 organizations were conducted on the basis of requests from the prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies. During those inspections, the misuse of money for AZN 220.56 million was revealed, and AZN 33.3 million of them was recovered to the State Budget.
At the same time, the Service inspected four organizations on the basis of civil appeals, and as a result the misuse of finances for AZN 64,400 was revealed. The results of inspections were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office for legal evaluation.
Following inspections, the Service applied fines against 123 officials in budget organizations for totally AZN 91,500.
Financial Supervision Service’s inspections in 2021 revealed the misuse of budget finances for totally AZN 103.6 million.
