January 13, Fineko/abc.az. The payment of pensions for the first month of this year has begun in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of the Population.

The State Social Protection Fund has started paying January pensions in the cities of Baku and Sumgait, in the Absheron district, and tomorrow the process will be fully completed.

In the coming days, pensions will be paid on other districts of the country, as well as pensions of persons entitled to a pension on preferential terms.

The monthly amount of financial assistance to pensioners who have been assigned a pension on a general basis (200 manats) for the past year (16.66 manats) has also been included in their pensions since the beginning of this year, and January pensions are paid together with these increases.

Also, all types of pensions will be indexed from the beginning of this year on the basis of official statistics on the growth of the average monthly nominal salary over the past year. When this increase is applied, detailed information about it will be provided.
