Share of loans in foreign currency in Azerbaijan published

December 23, Fineko/abc.az. The loan portfolio of banks and non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) in Azerbaijan grew by 18.1% up to AZN 20.218 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that as of 30 November, banks with state participation gave loans for AZN 3.898 bn (a rise of 17%) or 19.3% of all loans, private banks – for AZN 15.775 bn (a rise of 18.4%) or 78% of all loans.

The remaining AZN 544.5 million (a rise of 18.2%) accounted for non-bank credit organizations.

Of the total volume of loans given at the end of November, AZN 15.99 bn were given in national currency (a rise of 26%) and AZN 4.225 bn in foreign currency (decrease of 4.5%). The share of loans in foreign currency for this period is 20.9% (25.8% at the end of 2021).
