December 15, Fineko/abc.az. For the first 9 months of 2022 the deficit of $88 million was formed in the turnover of mutual tourism services of Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the CBA balance of payments for Jan-Sept 2022.

"For Jan-Sept the turnover of mutual tourism services grew 2.6-fold up to $1.3 bn. As a result of the excess of imports ($692 million) over exports ($604 million) for tourism services, deficit of $88 million was formed during the reporting period. The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad increased by 67%, and the number of foreign citizens arriving in Azerbaijan increased 2.2-fold. The volume of services rendered to residents of Azerbaijan by foreign countries in the field of tourism amounted to $0.7 bn. Of them, 82.9% related to personal visits of Azerbaijani citizens (with the exception of funds for shuttle imports)," the report says.
