PMs of Azerbaijan and Georgia had a phone conversation

November 18, Fineko/abc.az. Prime Ministers Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan and Irakli Garibashvili of Georgia have had a phone conversation today.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Cabinet Ministers that during the phone conversation, the heads of government congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Satisfaction was expressed with the high level of the Azerbaijani-Georgian strategic partnership based on the solid foundation of centuries-old friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support. The role of high-level contacts between the two countries, mutual visits in development of Azerbaijani-Georgian relationships was highly appreciated, in this regard, the importance of the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Georgia this October was particularly emphasized.

The prospects for development of both states’ ties in political, economic, transport, energy, humanitarian and other spheres were also discussed.

PM Garibashvili once again invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Georgia in connection with the upcoming next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Tbilisi this December. They expressed confidence that the visit would be useful from angle of considering issues on agenda of Azerbaijani-Georgian cooperation.
