October 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 October 2022, the assets of the banking sector of Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 43.6 bn (26.4% more against the indicator as of 1 October 2021.
ABC.AZ reports that the net loans given to customers totaled AZN 17.99 bn of banks' assets. Over the past 1 year, the sector's loan portfolio has grown by 15.5%, and the share of loans in assets decreased from 45% to 41%.
The liabilities of the banking sector grew by 29% to AZN 38.29 bn, including the deposit portfolio by 32.6% up to AZN 31.37 bn.
Of them, AZN 10.99 million account for deposits of individuals and AZN 20.38 bn for deposits of legal entities.
Population’s finances in banks increased by 26.7% and the finances of companies at banks by 42.8%.
The balance sheet capital of the banking sector increased by 10.4% up to AZN 5.345 bn.
