October 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank raised the discount rate, in connection with which Taleh Kerimov held a press conference on this occasion.

ABC.AZ reports that Kazimov touched upon a number of important issues.

He noted that after the introduction of the new structure in September, deals for AZN 788 million were concluded between the banks, and in October for AZN 1.426 bn. These are record figures for the banking sector.

Kazimov points out that despite the fact that a short time has passed as a result of the introduction of these tools, the discount rate has already begun to affect interest rates between banks.

"This is the first time since independence when the CBA discount rate has started to have direct real impact on the market. I want to congratulate our team on this event," Kazimov said.
