September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves amount to $55.9 bn.

According to the CBA, country's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by 5.1% or $2.7 bn for Jan-Aug 2022.

"The growth of strategic foreign exchange reserves is conditioned with positive trends in the balance of payments indicators - surplus in the 1st half of the year at the level of 27.6%, a 3-fold increase in the surplus in 7 months in foreign trade, a 24.2% increase in non-oil exports in 7 months," the CBA said.

Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves are formed from CBA’s reserves, State Oil Fund’s assets and Finance Ministry’s treasury funds.
