September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The National Bank of Kazakhstan decided to keep the base rate at 14.5% per annum, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the press service of the financial regulator.

"The Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Kazakhstan has decided to set the base rate plus or minus 1 percentage point at 14.5% per annum. Accordingly, the interest rate is 15.5% for liquidity provision operations and 13.5% for liquidity sterilization operations," the Bank’s press service informs.

On July 25, the National Bank decided to raise the base rate from 14% to 14.5% per annum.
