Russian Sberbank leaves Kazakhstani market

August 23, Fineko/abc.az. Russia’s Sberbank is leaving the Kazakhstani market.

ABC.AZ reports that the Sberbank Group and the Kazakhstani National Management Holding Baiterek have signed a deal for the purchase of the entire stake in Sberbank by Sberbank Kazakhstan (SB Sberbank JSC).

Sberbank has decided to withdraw from the Kazakhstan market, guided by the current geopolitical situation, and acting in the interests of the subsidiary bank's clients, Sberbank said in a statement.

It is also emphasized that the bank will continue to fulfill all its obligations to customers.
