MasterCard intends to increase share of non-cash payments in Azerbaijan

August 23, Fineko/abc.az. MasterCard plans to increase the share of non-cash payments in the Azerbaijani market to 50%, Avshar Gurdal, General Director of MasterCard in Azerbaijan, said at a press conference dedicated to the launch of the Google Pay system in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports.

At present, the share of digital payments in Azerbaijan has increased from 6 to 20%. Gurdal said the company intends to contribute to the growth rate up to 50%. "In this direction, we are working actively both with the Central Bank and with local banks," the regional manager emphasized.
