August 18,Fineko/abc.az. For seven months of this year, 39,642.75 tons of corn worth $14,624,260 were imported to Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that compared to the same period last year, the cost of corn imported into the country increased by 64.2%, and the volume doubled.

Compared to the same period last year, the average price per ton of corn imported into the country decreased by 19.2%. So, while for the seven months of 2021, the import of one ton of corn to Azerbaijan cost an average of $456.7, for the same period of this year this figure fell to $368.9.
