Inflation in Georgia rises since last March

15:40 - 3.06.2022

June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Since March 2021 the annual inflation in Georgia has been growing, ABC.AZ reports with the National Statistics Service of Georgia.

In order to regulate inflationary processes, the Georgian National Bank began to tighten monetary policy, bringing the refinancing rate to 11% per annum.

The National Bank of Georgia hoped that by the end of 2022 the inflation rate would fall to 3%, but due to the situation around Ukraine, obviously, this will not happen.
