May 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Coinbase crypto exchange has warned Russian users about the imminent restriction of access to their accounts.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that the management of the crypto exchange linked this with Western sanctions against Russia.

It is noted that on 8 April 2022 the EU imposed sanctions prohibiting Coinbase from providing crypto services to certain Russian customers.

"These clients include Russian citizens, legal entities established in Russia, or residents of Russia. Based on your account records, we consider that you fall under these sanctions," the crypto exchange said.
