Peskov: Special operation in Ukraine may be completed in foreseeable future

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Kremlin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the special operation in Ukraine could be stopped in the near future.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Russian press that the Kremlin said that Russia has achieved its goals in Ukraine, and said that the special operation launched in Ukraine can be completed in the near future, the Russian press reports.

Peskov added that there was pressure on some states trying to remain neutral to vote for the termination of Russia's membership in the United Nations Council (UN).

The UN General Assembly suspended Russia's membership in the Human Rights Council yesterday due to reports of "systematic human rights violations" in Ukraine. After that, Russia announced its withdrawal from the Council.
