April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union has adopted the 5th package of sanctions against Russia, which includes the purchase, import or supply of coal and other solid fossil fuels.
ABC.AZ reports that the written statement of the Council of Europe says that it was decided to ban from August 2022 the purchase, import or supply to the EU of coal and other solid fossil fuels of Russian origin or exported from Russia in the amount of 8 bn euro a year.
Any motor transport enterprises of Russia and Belarus, including transit ones, are prohibited from transporting goods by land within the EU, exceptions will be made for the road transport of medicines, agricultural and food products and a number of humanitarian goods.
The agreed export bans will amount to 10 bn euro and import bans 5.5 bn euro.
