January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is likely to develop a new deposit insurance model.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov at a news conference on the announcement of the parameters of the interest rate corridor.

Referring to the importance of insurance of bank deposits of the population, Rustamov said in connection with this model: "We’re currently working over a new model of deposit insurance. We believe this system should be applied in a moderate form and in stages."
