Lump-sum payments to World War II participants begin

May 3, Fineko/abc.az. The State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour & Social Protection is carrying out the process of issuing lump-sum financial assistance to the participants of World War II.

The SSPF realizes the process of money transfer to pension plastic cards to each WWII participant.

Under the Presidential Decree from 23 April 2019, lump-sum financial assistance in the amount of 1,000 manats will be allocated to the WWII participants and in the amount of 500 manats to widows of soldiers who died in WWII or subsequently died, persons awarded orders and medals for selfless work in the rear at that time, employees of special formations who carried out assignments in the interests of the army and the Navy in the rear of the fighting fronts or in the operational zones of the fighting fleets during the WWII years, persons awarded the appropriate medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad, as well as participants in the siege of Leningrad.

The Presidential Reserve Fund of Azerbaijan’s State Budget 2019 will allocate AZN 5 million to ensure giving of material assistance.
