February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company plans to receive five new vessels during the year.

At today’s media conference ACSC chair Rauf Veliyev stated that two vessels will be built at the Baku Shipyard and the rest will be bought from foreign companies.

"The shipping company plans to purchase by two vessels from the Baku Shipyard annually," Veliyev said.

He added that the process of fleet renewal has been ongoing for the last 5 years, and ACSC has acquired 20 new vessels for this period. The fabrication of four more vessels for the shipping company is underway at the Baku Shipyard currently.
