Share of problem loans in Azerbaijan makes up nearly 15%

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. The total loan portfolio of banks and non-bank credit organizations in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 12.437 bn by 1 October.

The State Statistics Committee reports that AZN 9.986 bn of them are long-term loans.

"The share of problem loans in the overall portfolio makes up 14.9%," the Committee said in a statement.

The amount of retail deposits in manat equivalent made AZN 7.02 bn by 1 October. The average exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar in October reached AZN 1.70 to the US dollar (in early 2017 – AZN 1.73), 1 euro – AZN 2.00 (AZN 1.93), 100 rubles – AZN 2.95 (AZN 2.96).
