November 6, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, inflation is under control due to fiscal and monetary policy.

Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said this at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

He noted that the forecast of average annual inflation for next year is 5.3%.

"This is considered a completely acceptable guideline, corresponding to international benchmarks. Inflation in the range of 4-6% is considered an acceptable level. Therefore, if we can keep the forecast at 5.3%, it will be a fairly successful result. For the first nine months of this year, our inflation is also in this target range and amounts to 5.7%," he said.
