October 12, Fineko/abc.az. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced the adoption of nearly 1,600 new sanction listings targeting Russia's military-industrial complex during the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg. This marks the largest single expansion of the EU's sanctions regime since the start of the conflict.

More than half of the new listings address the supply chain for ballistic missile production. Kallas noted that past sanctions have already deprived Russia of 1 trillion euros ($1.09 trillion) and emphasized that these new measures aim to make Russian arms manufacturing significantly slower and more costly.

She also urged the US to align its sanctions policy by adopting the Graham bill.
