September 1, Fineko/abc.az. Grain harvesting in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been successfully completed.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Nakhchivan, harvesting was carried out across 13,778.1 hectares of land this year. Of the total harvested area, 4,108.2 hectares were dedicated to wheat and 9,669.9 hectares to barley.
In total, 45,914.2 tons of grain were produced across the autonomous republic, including 15,320.4 tons of wheat and 30,593.8 tons of barley. The average yield reached 33.3 centners per hectare, with wheat yielding 37.3 centners per hectare and barley yielding 31.6 centners per hectare.
Among the regions, the highest average yield was recorded in the Sharur district, where 11,578.0 tons of grain were harvested at an average rate of 41.9 centners per hectare. Grain production across other districts was recorded as follows:
Sadarak District: 6,288.0 tons (39.1 centners per hectare)
Babak District: 14,747.8 tons (34.4 centners per hectare)
Ordubad District: 1,686.4 tons (29.0 centners per hectare)
Julfa District: 3,266.5 tons (25.5 centners per hectare)
Shahbuz District: 1,326.0 tons (25.4 centners per hectare)
Kangarli District: 5,504.1 tons (24.3 centners per hectare)
Nakhchivan City: 1,517.4 tons (32.0 centners per hectare)
In comparison, 37,648.8 tons of grain were harvested from 15,029.4 hectares of land in the autonomous republic in 2025, with an average yield of 25.1 centners per hectare.
