August 31, Fineko/abc.az. Huawei and U.S. computer maker HP have signed a multi-year patent cross-licensing agreement covering Wi-Fi technologies, including the Wi-Fi 7 standard.

Under the terms of the deal, HP gains access to a portfolio of Huawei's patents, while Huawei receives access to HP's patents. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The agreement follows a European patent dispute between the two tech giants. In August 2025, Huawei filed a lawsuit against HP accusing it of unauthorized use of its Wi-Fi 6 patent. Huawei subsequently dropped the litigation after HP joined the Sisvel Wi-Fi 6 patent pool.
