July 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2026, the number of microenterprises in Azerbaijan has reached 199,604.

According to the State Statistics Committee, microenterprises account for 92.7% of the commercial organizations operating in the country.

In compliance with Cabinet Ministers’ decision, microenterprises are considered to be business entities with an annual income of no more than 200,000 manats and an average number of employees of up to 10 people.

According to the types of economic activity, the largest number of microenterprises is registered in the field of trade and vehicle repair. There are 69,796 microenterprises in this field (35% of the total number).

This is followed by: provision of other services - 21,237 entities (10.6%), construction - 18,304 (9.2%), professional, scientific and technical activities - 16,189 (8.1%), administrative and support activities - 12,740 (6.4%), manufacturing - 12,477 (6.3%), agriculture, forestry and fishing - 12,347 (6.2%).

2,212 microenterprises operate in the field of financial and insurance activities. Their share among commercial organizations in this field is 79.8%.
