July 25, Fineko/abc.az. Private sector activity in the Eurozone expanded faster than expected in July, according to the latest S&P Global survey. The flash Composite PMI Output Index surged to 51.9 from 50.0 in June, marking its highest reading in five months.
The Manufacturing PMI reached 52.0, while the Services PMI rebounded to 51.6. Germany returned to growth after a four-month contraction (PMI 51.2), and France's downturn eased noticeably (PMI 49.6). Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist at S&P Global, cautioned that while demand and cost pressures have improved, volatile Middle East geopolitics and rising energy prices still pose risks to sustained recovery.
