11:26 - 22.07.2026

July 22, Fineko/abc.az. President Donald Trump has announced new trade policy on generic drug imports. From August 1, 2026, there will be a two-year grace period without tariffs, after which the tariffs will be 100% for one year and then increase to 200%.

The measure is aimed at relocating production to the U.S.: companies that have not localized their facilities within two years will face high tariffs. The new rules only apply to generic drugs and do not affect original and innovative drugs.
