June 30, Fineko/abc.az. US President Donald Trump has called on gas station chains to urgently lower gasoline prices, pointing out that oil has fallen to ~$68 per barrel.

ABC.AZ reports that he said that companies should pass on the effect of cheaper raw materials to consumers, rather than keeping prices high, and warned of possible consequences if they did not act. In his opinion, the fair level is about $2.50 per gallon.

Trump also criticized the taxes in California, noting that they significantly increase the cost of fuel. However, he emphasized that retail prices depend not only on oil, but also on taxes, logistics, refining, and company policies.
