Yandex Go Launches in Istanbul, Pledges $100 Million Investment in Turkiye

June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Yandex Go ride-hailing digital service has officially commenced operations in Istanbul, marking the sixth city in Turkiye to integrate Yandex's mobility platform.

According to ABC.AZ, the expansion follows successful deployments of Yandex Go across Izmir, Antalya, Ankara, Mersin, and Adana. Speaking at the official launch presentation, Alexander Popovskiy, CEO of Yandex Turkey, announced that the technology group plans to invest $100 million into developing and scaling its suite of mobile-based platforms across the country.

At present, Istanbul users can book Yandex Go rides under the "Economy" and "Comfort" tariff categories, while courier delivery and freight options remain restricted for the time being. The baseline boarding fee is set at 65 liras, with urban transit rates capped at 44 liras per kilometer. Yandex Turkey officials detailed that subsequent service categories will be rolled out in the coming months as operational density increases within the metropolitan area.
